About US
In 2004 Bill Cloughly and Mike Patterson met and discussed starting a chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Virginia Gazette ran a story on what Bill and Mike were doing and other veterans started calling and coming to informal meetings. Before long, they had the required 25 members and VVA Chapter 957 received its charter.
Chapter 957’s first meeting was held at the VFW Hall on Jester Lane in Williamsburg. The VFW allowed the chapter to use the building for meetings rent-free and for this, we are very grateful. Shortly thereafter, the meetings were relocated to the Dominion Power Company’s site on Ironbound Rd. The company graciously allowed us the use of the Community Building at the rear of the site. Again, rent-free and we had been holding meetings there until recently (2019). However, due to circumstances beyond our control, Dominion has asked us to relocate. Now, at the generous invitation of VFW Chapter4639, we are again holding meetings rent-free at the VFW Hall on Jester Lane. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 1900 hrs. Please feel free to attend.
